Player Commitment

The Elkhart Flames Soccer Club offers travel soccer opportunities for boys and girls ages U10 through U14 through the yearly fall and spring soccer sessions. In addition, in the Spring Session, the club has an Academy program for players U8-U10. For U15 and older soccer players, the club is a co-sponsor of Elkhart County United (ECU).   The focus for our travel teams is individual player development.  Our goal   is to see each player achieve his/her potential, both as a player and as a person.  Hard work, fair play, dedication, and respect are the things that we want to teach, along with outstanding soccer instruction.

Training Sessions: To play with the Elkhart Flames Soccer Club is a privilege.  Faithful attendance at training sessions and games is expected and needs to be a first priority.  We do understand that all of our families are busy, and from time to time conflicts may occur. It is an expectation that these matters will be communicated to coaches and team managers prior to the beginning of the session.

Playing Time: Travel soccer is a competitive playing situation. On Elkhart Flames soccer teams, players will have equal practice time, but equal game playing time is not guaranteed.  All playing time decisions are at the discretion of the coach. If a player has questions about the amount of playing time or questions on the position he/she is playing, he/she needs to follow the following sequence of communication steps: 1st step - player with coach, 2nd step - player & parent/s with coach, and finally, 3rd step - parents with EFSC board president & coach.

Financial Commitment: The financial cost is divided between the two playing sessions: Fall and spring. A player session fee covers the cost of the following expenses:  Indiana Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) registration, weekly practices during the session, a practice T-Shirt, coaching fees, field usage / maintenance, and Northern Indiana Soccer League (NISL) league & tournament registration.   Scholarship funding is available through the club for players needing financial assistance. No player belonging to the Elkhart Flames Soccer Club will be prohibited from participation solely because of lack of financial resources.

Cost:  U10-U09 player dues will be $175.00; Uniforms will be the blue EFSC T-shirts; socks and shorts may be purchased through the club; U11-18 player dues will be at   $210.00 per session and ISL team player dues will be $ 250.00 per session; EFSC uniforms are required at this level of play at a cost of $ 65.00; a blue EFSC T-shirt is complementary and expected to be worn at all practices.  Uniform Fee- Uniform cost will continue to   be $65.00 for the standard set (2 game shirts, shorts, socks, practice t-shirt).  Items may be purchased individually.  All teams are required to wear club sanctioned soccer uniforms.

Tournaments or ISL Games: Teams participating in tournaments or Indiana State League (ISL) are responsible for any additional cost (registration, coaches/s' meals travel, accommodation).

Year Commitment:  If selected and chosen to be part of the Elkhart Flames Soccer Club, the commitment is for one year,.

Transfer Rule:  Players will not be released to play for another club during the playing year.

Player Commitment: If you are selected and chosen to be a player on a Premier or ISL team, the expectation that soccer is the primary sport commitment and will come before any other sport commitment.
